Keeping Up with the Amazons

eZCom-at-RVCF-Spring-ConferenceRecently, we were invited to speak at the Retail Value Chain Federation (RVCF) Spring Conference in Teaneck, New Jersey. Director of Solutions Development Ilya Klots and Director of Sales & Marketing Patti Wolkstein from eZCom were joined by Jenny Mulhall, Operations Director at Hippeas, the healthy and rapidly growing organic snack food company.

Our presentation, Keeping Up with the Amazons, focused on the many challenges and opportunities facing sellers on the world’s largest online marketplace. Whether it’s weighing Vendor Central versus Seller Central, meeting the specific order processing requirements of Amazon, or simply handling the sales volume, there is no shortage of issues to manage.

After providing some insight on the different ways suppliers can work with Amazon — Vendor Central, Seller Central, Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) — Klots explained how automation can create valuable, time-saving efficiencies in the supply chain.

He was followed by Mulhall, who provided a real-world example from her experience at Hippeas. Before she arrived at the company, the manual solution for processing orders from Amazon was a three-hour ordeal. Automation has reduced it to less than 30 minutes.

The presentation was followed by a Q&A session. Not only was it a great opportunity for us to offer ideas that can help suppliers reduce the time they spend managing Amazon orders, it was a pleasure to share the stage with a client who has experienced the benefits of automation.

We always look forward to spending valuable time with suppliers and retail professionals. Many thanks to the RVCF for offering us this opportunity.
